#WhyIgetoutofbed: Waldo Lee

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Waldo Lee, a freelance 3D illustrator / Photographer based in Paris, France.

How are you?

I’m fine thank you.

Tell us about your work

My work is mix of 3D illustration and photography, with sometimes a twist of graffiti in it, mostly photorealistic. I also like to explore all kind of techniques and media.

Do you express yourself through creativity?

Yes, all the time. Don’t you think it’s the way to go?

What was the last thing you created?

I created an illustration for Valentine’s Day. A big Pink Heart made up of lots of words. It was really fun to do as a personal illustration. No boundaries, you can go all out.

What has inspired you as of late?

I really don’t know, you get inspired all the time, from what you see when you’re walking down the street, (for instance, this morning the skyline and the geometry of the street architecture inspired me for the next series of images I will do) to what you see when surfing on the internet.

What are you reading/watching/listening to at the moment?

I’m reading The Walking Dead and I need to start reading Game Of Thrones. I got GOT for my birthday but haven’t had the time to start it yet. I’m listening to underground hip hop.

Why do you get out of bed in the morning?

To feed my dog, my 2 cats and to enjoy going to my workplace to create some cool images, inspire people, and put a smile on their faces.
